This beautiful cabin is set at 3,600 ft in the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the Northwest corner of North Carolina. Built in 2004 it has the feel of a cabin of long ago, but with all modern amenities, including air conditioning and heating. It has two large bedrooms and the traditional sleeping loft containing two futon double beds. The central feature of the large lounge is a local slate fireplace with instant gas fire. The large wrap round verandah has a commanding view of the valley below and ideal for barbeques on late evening nights, or just sitting on the rocking chairs, listening to the stillness. A recently added five person hot tub is superb after a long walk, or returning from on of the four ski lodges within half an hours drive.
The cabin is on a single track with three others, so there is very little to disturb the tranquility. You will see deer, eagles and maybe the occasional black bear.
The owners have been successful in keeping the cabin paying for itself for four years. There is a local cleaning and gardening service.
